Daphne's therapeutic offerings has helped many who are dealing with chronic pain, auto-immune dysregulation, neurological conditions, as well as complex trauma. Her work focuses on a trauma-informed holistic healing approach as well body-mind integration, working with each person's unique health and well-being.
"I saw Daphne for a back injury. Her methods were holistic in nature as she worked on my legs and spine to make sure everything is in alignment. She was patient and gentle with her touch. Always checking in with me to make sure I’m okay during the adjustments. She also gave me tips to help myself after our session to strengthen the muscles that are “asleep” so that my condition doesn’t come back. After 5 days of resting and doing the exercises she recommended, I recovered completely and felt even better than before I saw her. I feel my movements more symmetrical and no strain in my back at all. Highly recommend Daphne to people who are suffering from structural issues like I did!" ~ Sharon Tan, Wellness Practitioner

Somatic Yoga Therapy: Yoga Therapy is a complementary health approach that include postures, movements, breath work, relaxation techniques, guided imagery, sound, mindfulness etc, specifically tailored to the individual to improve physical, mental and emotional well being and customised to the lifestyle and therapeutic needs of each person. It is a holistic therapeutic framework that empowers the individual to actively participate in their own healing journey in the integration of mind, body and spirit.
Each session is 90 to 120 minutes in person, or via Skype or Facetime.
Integrated Bodywork / Functional Movement & Rehabilitation : With a focus on breath, bone rhythms, body-mind connection, and myofascial meridiens, this somatic and inquiry work guides the recipient into cultivating sensory and kinesthetic awareness, so as to uncover habitual patterns which might be manifesting as chronic conditions in the body. Through body scans, breath, sound, and neuro-motor repatterning, we can release deep holding patterns, rehabilitate injury, bring clarity to a sense of well-being and rewires new pathways for more ease in movement and life.
Tai Chi Massage: A 60 or 90 minute oil massage performed on the body's fascia meridiens with slow & flowing movements, which allow the body to return to its balance and optimum functioning. This treatment promotes lymphatic flow within the body to eliminate toxins. It invigorates the circulatory system by increasing the flow of blood and oxygen to the internal organs. It also alleviates tension, soothes muscle pain, increases vitality and enhances mental clarity.
Chi Nei Tsang (Abdominal Detox Massage): This modality will focus on slow, deep, abdominal massage in order to stimulate, release & increase motility of the internal abdominal organs. This will restore the digestive system, decrease bloating and heaviness, and allow the organs to work more efficiently to improve physical and emotional health.
Therapeutic Bodywork / Sports Massage: Each session is tailored according to the area(s) you would like to focus on, integrating Thai Yoga massage techniques, myofascial tissue work, neuromuscular facilitation, and joint mobilisation to restore your body's balance.
Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy: BCST is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork that addresses the cranium, spinal column and sacrum. The goal is to release compression through the spinal column and the central nervous system to alleviate pain and create new neural pathways by facilitating very own body intelligence to start the healing process, reintegrate, and restore homeostasis.
Dry Needling is a form of physical therapy. It works by triggering neuro-musculoskeletal muscle points to treat energy channels, muscle pain, and movement problems. This technique uses needles to target tight or dysfunctional bits of muscle length and related tissue.through pushing small needles through the skin in order to hit trigger points. The needles are intended to trigger a natural twitch response and healing in the affected area. By bringing in the foreign object, the body notices a problem and will respond by increasing blood flow and a stream of productive hormones to help the region. This can mitigate and even help cure a number of musculoskeletal issues.
Myofascial decompression or cupping is a therapy that helps treat musculoskeletal disorders by using suction to create negative pressure underneath the cup. Originally fire was used to create the suction, but more recently a simple pump is used. The negative pressure helps to decompress the area by lifting the skin and the layer of tissue underneath the skin, the fascia, up into the cup. This creates space for the underlying tight muscle to lay down and relax. Cupping also helps bring blood flow to the area in need. Blood carries important nutrients which help with tissue healing. At Spring forward we use myofascial decompression to address compensatory movement patterns. This is done by adding movement with treatment. Movement can be in the form of sliding the cups over the necessary tissue or leaving the cups static while moving body parts.
Reiki: A non-invasive, hands-on healing technique that seeks to balance the energy in the subtle energy body.
Daphne's work is a unique alchemy of her studies & practice in Yoga therapy, somatics & movement education, and various bodywork modalities.

About Thai Yoga Massage
The origins of Thai Yoga Bodywork or Thai Massage (Nuad Boran) can be traced back 2,500 years to India and the spread of Buddhism. The founding father of Thai Massage, Jivaka Kumarbhaccha, was a celebrated yogi and a doctor in the ancient healing tradition of Ayurveda (which is a science that recreates harmonious living). Of all the famous people Jivaka attended to, the most distinguished was the Buddha. As such, this ancient massage spread to Thailand with the passage of Buddhism across the Asian continent.
Traditional Thai massage developed over millennia within the Buddhist temples, and flourished as a way for spiritual people to share the benefits of meditation and compassion in a physical form.
In Ayurvedic science, there is an extensive network of energy lines running throughout the body. It is through the massaging and stretching of this network of energy lines that Thai Yoga Massage releases tension and promotes good health. By allowing energy to flow more freely, the massage works to alleviate problematic conditions such as lower back pain, arthritis, headaches, digestive difficulties, menstrual problems, and stress-related conditions.
Promoting this free flow of energy also works to restore balance and create a deep state of relaxation and well-being.
About Cranial Sacral Therapy
Life expresses itself as motion. At a deep level of our physiological functioning all healthy, living tissues subtly "breathe" with the motion of life - a phenomenon that produces rhythmic impulses which can be palpated by sensitive hands. The Breath of Life produces a series of subtle rhythms that may be palpated in the body and which make up an integrated physiological system.
The emphasis in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is to help resolve the trapped forces that underlie and govern patterns of disease and fragmentation in both body and mind. This involves the practitioner "listening through the hands" to the body's subtle rhythms and any patterns of inertia or congestion. Through the development of subtle palpatory skills the practitioner can read the story of the body, identify places where issues are held and then follow the natural priorities for healing as directed by the patient¹s own physiology.
The intention of treatment is to facilitate the expression of the Breath of Life and so enhance the body's own self-healing and self-regulating capabilities. This is done in a non-invasive way as the practitioner subtly and gently encourages the conditions that allow for the reemergence of primary respiratory motion. Furthermore, the practitioner's deep and clear quality of presence can become a reflective mirror for the patient and an invaluable cue for their potential for change.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy takes a whole-person approach to healing and the inter-connections of mind, body and spirit are deeply acknowledged. It is an effective form of treatment for a wide range of illnesses helping to create the optimal conditions for health, encouraging vitality and facilitating a sense of well-being. It is suitable for people of all ages including babies, children and the elderly, and can be effective in acute or chronic cases.
About Chi Nei Tsang
Chi Nei Tsang (氣內臟) is a hands-on holistic health practice of ancient Chinese Taoist tradition, rediscovered and further developed by Chi-Kung. Master Mantak Chia and his lineage of students and practitioners support the tradition.
Chi Nei Tsang involves the application of Chi-Kung in the manual treatment of the viscera (Nei-Tsang) and the deepest internal structures of the body. Following the classical Taoist model, Chi Nei Tsang simultaneously heals the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of the individual. Originally, Taoist monks and nuns practiced Chi Nei Tsang to enhance their health, detoxify their organism, and upgrade the quality of their Chi so that they could successfully, and safely practice the highest-level spiritual meditation formulas of enlightenment.
Today, Chi Nei Tsang helps to release negative emotions of fear, anger, anxiety, depression and worry that cause blockage in the body, often leading to illness and diseases. Chi Nei Tsang can also help to alleviate problems in the body caused by stress, past illness or injuries, accidents, surgery, drugs, toxins, poor diet and bad posture.
