Join us in the “Pink City” of Jaipur during the Kite Festival

This retreat is open to anyone who wishes to facilitate self-discovery in the truest sense; opening the mind, body and soul through cultural immersion, yoga practice, learning about hands-on therapeutics and humanitarianism through volunteering with children inside of one of Jaipur's local "slum schools".
Volunteering
Areas of volunteer work will be based on your own life experience and personal interests. From yoga and art, to language and computer skills, you will be free to create your own unique, teacher-student experience with the children of Jaipur. We will work closely with you to help you find your special way of connecting with this community. In just one of week of volunteering, you will not only leave behind a positive impact on a wonderful, deserving community, but develop memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. This year we are planning on finishing construction of two classrooms as well as provide uniforms for all 87 children at this special school.
We will need YOUR help to pull this off as bring your own unique light into the school while you are there.
Accommodation & Cuisine
We will be staying in a boutique 3-star hotel in Jaipur that has a garden and beautiful yoga shall. There is a healthy vegetarian restaurant and can accommodate all additional restrictions to diets providing safe natural produce to ensure that even raw salads are safe. The hotel in Jaipur has a gift shop and small spa so even on days that you feel like being low key there is plenty to do within the hotel grounds. For the long drives we will have large passenger vans or cars taking us, in Jaipur we will be in Rikshaws and a van, this is an adventurous trip for the open hearted and your safety is alway considered first and we will use our long time trusted local support team by traveling with our drivers we will be a more authentically local style when in short transit. Our team has lead 100s of volunteers and we are sure you will feel like they are family by the end.
Additional Activities
We will be lucky to enjoy the amazing Kite Flying Festival which is a religious holiday that is celebrated by joining in flying kites amongst thousands of locals and joining the competition. We will celebrate at a local families house in true authentic Indian style.
Of course no day will be complete without a dose of traditional Indian culture; look forward to sari shopping in the bustling marketplaces, authentic Indian cooking class and exploring ancient temples, palaces and mausoleums. Please note that all excursions are optional and although we do provide a fun-filled schedule we will always do our best to accommodate your wishes.
