Trauma-Informed Somatic Yoga for the Nervous System
There is a natural order and harmony to this world, which we can discover. But we have to feel it in our bones,
in our hearts, in our minds ~ Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche

Trauma-informed Somatic Yoga Immersion: Cultivating spaciousness for our nervous system (CET)
Mind-body techniques that promote homeostatic mechanisms as well as improve autonomic regulation and vagal tone are key to maintaining health and healing chronic conditions. When we hone our sensory awareness in movement and touch to awaken our patterns of behaviour, we can experience how the body and mind are intricately connected our nervous system.
This will empower us to practice self-care effectively, and to also share this knowledge to others in meaningful ways.
This trauma-informed immersion will shine a light on our habitual but unconscious neurological patterning that manifest into how we breathe, our posturing, and our reactivity to circumstances. These patterns arise from our life’s experiences, predisposition, developmental patterns, and conditioning. They emerge through the filters of our perceptions and our conceived reality ad shape our expression and communication with the outer world.
Our tissues and organs provide the essential components of the patterns from which we weave our personal stories. These stories are then recorded and stored in the templates of our autonomic nervous system in the way we relate to self and others.
Our ability to regulate the inflammatory and immune responses, maintain proper organ and metabolic functions, as well as to heal from diseases depend on the proper functioning of our autonomic nervous system.
Bringing together movement, breathwork, and hands-on touch to cultivate sensory awareness, we can cultivate a mindful and practical dialogue in healing from pain, injuries, anxiety & stress.
This course is for accessible to all, including yoga practitioners, movement teachers, athletes, dancers, bodyworkers, coaches, healthcare professionals etc, anyone who is interested in exploring the embodied biological process so we can learn to regulate our stress response. We can also gain awareness of and insight into decluttering and rewiring our neural pathways for better self-regulation and resilience. We become free to make different choices. As we release our stress-induced behaviors, we discover deeper compassion, wisdom, and ease.
Next course: December 5 to 9, Cambodia Retreat
