The Art of Touch
This is a unique training that will help practitioners and yoga teachers go further in your understanding on the therapeutic aspects of mind-body connection practices in yoga and bodywork
In this module you will learn how to apply the power of touch with a mindfulness approach, applied through the understanding of physical and subtle biomechanics. We will explore the interconnectedness of our energy meridians, honouring different body types, conditions and lifestyles.
This module will be a stepping-stone for practitioners and yoga teachers to learn how to communicate through the power of touch. It will also serve as a foundation to explore further into the realm of therapeutic healing tools for self care and also to help others.
In this training, you will be able to:
- Make adjustments safely according to different body types
- Understand the different techniques of touch and gain confidence in applying touch through hands and bodyweight.
- Understand the mechanics of movement and the workings of energy lines
- Have a better understanding of your own movement practice
- Strengthen your ability to teach
- Practice the various functions of touch, in order to give make adjustments in standing, sitting and restorative postures.
Based on her holistic knowledge and experience in Yoga therapy, therapeutics applications of asanas, breathwork, somatic education and visualisations, as well as her experience in bodywork modalities such as Thai massage, Cranial Sacral therapy, Daphne has designed a unique approach to present this training.
Students will receive a certification for the hours to be accredited Yoga Alliance RYS200 program, or as well as Continuing Education Training units for certified teachers.

The yoga therapy components of my teaching and courses are based on my various trainings and credentials in bodywork modalities & massage therapy trainings, as well as my current Yoga Therapy Graduate Certification Training in Australia. It is not derived from my status as an E-RYT 500 nor as an RYS with Yoga Alliance Registry. Please note that any reference to therapy or treatment within my communication is not meant to imply my practice to diagnose or cure health conditions. Rather, my focus is on improving general health, well-being and avoiding injury to those with health conditions.
